The Department of Optometry aims at both theoretical and practical education to assure the quality, safety and efficiency of Optometrist. Qualified faculty and state-of-the-art instrumentation room make this department suitable for modern day teaching and results.

Mission of the department is to raise the standard of education, bring about overall development of the students, encourage them to undertake research in their respective fields and train students in comprehensive eye care that will bring foster holistic development of the community.

The department has well maintained laboratories with central instrumentation and advanced versions of analytical equipment.

Vision of the department is to contribute to the health and welfare of the general population, by providing high-quality education through institutions that have dedicated faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure, also to develop expert professionals with the highest level of ethics.

5Clinical Optometry
Students practice the various clinical testing procedures from the 2nd year of their academics.
